Could Rheumatrex (methotrexate) cause serious or fatal side effects?

Hi, my friend is suffering from severe form of rheumathoid arthritis and his doctor prescribed him Rheumatrex because many other medications didnt give any result. I have heard that Rheumatrex is very dangerous medication so I would like to know if Rheumatrex may cause serious or fatal side effects? Thank you very much.

Hi, I am also using Rheumatrex or Methotrexate. It is very serious medicaton which has to be taken strictly like prescribed and in the short period of time. It is usually used in situation when other medications dont work at all. It has serious side effects on liver, pancreas and other vital organs.
