Hi. I am experiencing some kind of stomach problems. I was wondering… Could stomach problems be related to constipation? What causes constipation? How is it treated? Anybody?
Hi. Stomach problems can be related to constipation. If some part of the intestines become inflamed you will probably experience some disturbance of bowel function, such as diarrhea and constipation. Constipation is a symptom. It is not an illness. It occurs when your colon absorbs too much water, or if the colon`s muscle contractions are slow. In such case, stools will become hard and dry. Some causes of constipation include lack of physical activity, meds, milk, dehydration, problems with intestinal function and abuse of laxatives. Treatment depends on the cause and severity of constipation. Some people use laxatives. People who are mildly constipated don`t need such things.
