Hi, I suffer from diabetes, and I heard about glycemic Index many times, but I don’t know what it is. Could anyone explain this? I was never careful about what I eat, and that’s probably why my condition is worsening.

Well, it’s time to change your habits. Diabetes is a serious disease that can cause many complications, and you should give your best to reduce it. Beside medications or pump, the food that you’re eating is also important. Glycemic Index is important because it controls your blood sugar. There is food list with low and high glycemic index values. Diabetic should avoid food with high values, and eat food with low values. There are some foods that are even higher in glycemic Index list than sugar, and you should especially be careful when you eat them. This was just a short explanation, but you should also visit a nutritionist for further informations.
