My girlfriend has ichthyosis. She is pretty desperated because of that and she is always looking for some good creams for her skin. She tried so many creams but she is not satisfied yet. Maybe it’s best to try to not treat it. I’m wondering Could anything go wrong if ichthyosis is not treated?

You probably know that this skin disorder is not life-threatening. If somebody has a mild ichthyosis, he or she probably has only mild itching and beside that his/her problem is cosmetically. But in severe cases (they are very rare) ichthyosis may cause really bad itching and problems with sweating. Then treatment is necessary.
