Could changing birth control pills affect my period?

I was put on birth control pills because I had an ovarian cyst. I was first put on Ortho Tricyclen Low for three months. This was not working for my body, so the Doctor changed my pills to Tri-Levlen. Could switching pills affect my period? Will it cause me to miss my period, or could it be caused by the cyst?

Yes, it can effect your period greatly.
My docotr placed me on the same birth control for the same reason, and my body would not tolerate it.
She switched me to yasmin, but the switch made me miss my period a whole month, and the period after that really unbearable.

borth controll really messes with your system. I wouldnt worry about it.
