Sorry for the long post in advance.
I am a 27 year old male. Over the last 5-6 years I have been through what I would call living hell. I was hoping someone could help me piece together the results versus the symptoms. In 2003 I broke my nose and it seems my problems have only gotten worse. Any suggestions, comments or anything would be of great help.
I have a wide range of symptoms and I'm not sure what they mean or could be;
flat affect (never laugh, never smile), don't talk as much, nervous, feel like I can't find or mess up saying what I meant to say. Irratible, any type of stress is too much for me, my eyes feel like they are wide open and going to bulge out of my head. If I look up at something my eyes hurt. My eyes are the biggest problem I have and it seems to lead to my other symptoms or problems. I get pain in both ears but mostly my left which causes my throat to hurt. The majority of the time I have to clear my throat. The needing to clear your throat feeling feels like it has caused me to be reluctant or hesitant to talk.
I get weak and very nervous. My eyes feel heavy, but also wide open (very strange), lack of motivation, memory, dizzy, I go to the store looking for something and find myself grabbing for one thing, while the rest of my body is going the other way (almost like I'm confused, zoned out or lost). Everyone tells me I answer the phone and kind of talk like I'm in a hurry or panicked.
I feel very slow, find myself zoning out quite a bit, can't sleep without a sleeping pill and I still wake up between like 2:00-3:00. I have the hardest time being in public, nervous, you could drop a needle and it would startle me, sweating excessively, headaches, when I try to take a nap during the day I shake and almost feel like I'm becoming paralyzed. I have always been a high energy, confident type of person, but I have no confidence. I am not stiff, but feel slow and stiff in my movements. Crying quite a bit, pessimistic, feel like everyone thinks I am talking, walking or just generally look weird. Hard to tolerate bright lights and when it's at it's worst during the day, everything startles me and seems loud. I get left ear pain with a sore throat on the left side. My eyes feel like I have to squint. The hardest thing for me is the fact that I feel like my head is in a vice. If I turn either direction I almost feel nervous, paranoid and very slow. Strange I know, but I'm not sure how else to explain it.
I have been tested for everything under the sun from thyroid to CT scans. I was diagnosed with sinusitus and was prescribed Avelox 400 mg per day and Ru-Tuss twice daily with no help at all.
I really feel this eye thing has caused me to develop a depression/anxiety. |

I kind of know what you mean, I have something like that as well, but to a lesser degree.
This has been happening to me at around my 18th birthday (Oct. 22, 06), and it happened out of the blue, just happened. No warnings, just one day I woke up, felt so bad.
I feel like my eyes are always open, and that there are like cement blocks behind them. I do not have pain nor throat clearing problems. I am very tired all of the time. I do the same by going to the store, and forgetting most of the stuff that I came for (lost). Yes, I have to look down and even had to buy glasses because I became very sensative to light. It sucks, and I do not know what to do about it.
I did the same, I went all over the place, did blood tests, and all of that, and no one knows what it is, and now I have a huge medical bill.
It could be CFS, but I am not sure.
Hopefully this helps,
Isaiah. |
