Posted: 03/04/07 - 04:32 Post subject: Cracked Rib? Muscle Sprain?
I had severe Bronchitis for 2 weeks. Dr. put me on Prednisone. 3 days
after finishing my prescription, I coughed deeply - the cough practically
paralized me with pain on my right upper side of my back and on the
right upper side of my rib cage in the front. 2 days later I saw the Dr.
He felt I was sensitive to the Prednisone medication and was having a
Prednisone Withdrawal. The pain has been relentless in my back -
muscle relaxer, Vicoden, Tylenol with Codine, etc. has not helped. The
pain has lasted for 6 days (I will call Dr. on Monday). Is there such a thing
as a "Muscle Sprain" from coughing? I have had to sleep sitting up most
of the nights. How long does a muscle sprain, take to heal?
