Hi, Islipped on wet steps, my feet going up in the air, and I came down full force on my lower left ribs and the area just above the upper rim of my pelvis. I landed on the edge of the step. I have been seen by my Dr. and have a huge almost black hematoma at the sight. My Dr. just blew it off as bruised fat. At the time I couldn't feel anything there and as the week has progressed it has become quite painful. I returned to see him yesterday and he again blew it off, saying the big lumps I can feel and the severe pain are what happens when fat gets bruised. He still hasn't had me x-rayed. I hate to second guess him, but I'm wondering if mabe I should get a second opinion. I don't want to appear to be a winer, but I need to know if this could be serious. I had this same hospital send me home after an auto accident with a severly broken back.[/b]
