Cramping during early pragnancy at night

Hi all
My wife is 4 weeks pragnant now. For 2 nights she was experiencing abdominal cramps at round abount 01:50 am - 02:00 am. We have read that it is normal for cramps to occur, but we are concern of the pattern of occurance; why at that time of the night?

Hi, I am 7 weeks pregnant and have the exact same problem! Really freaks me out. Last nite the pain was so bad that I broke out in sweat; however, it only lasted a for few minutes and then went away completely. Not sure why it occurs around that time.

I don't have any answers for you, but I share your pain. I am 5 weeks pregnant today and for the past 4 nights have experienced the exact same pain at the exact same time. Makes me nervous but I have been told that it is normal as long as there is no bleeding. I will be bringing it to my OB-GYN's attention. Let me know how it goes!

I've been having cramps day and night for 8 days now with no bleeding. I am 5 weeks. They are worse at night and seem to occur in 3 hour increments. I've had an tummy ultrasound and transvaginal. They don't see anything thing wrong. Its driving me crazy because I can't get a good nights sleep. Please let me know if you find out what is causing your cramps.

Cramping is normal in early pregnancy, and for some all during pregnancy. Try a warm bath, stretching, and some tylenol to ease the symptoms.

Cramping is very normal during early pregnancy. It is your uterus growing and expanding for your new bundle of joy. The cramps are similar to menstrual cramps, which can cause a lot of women to worry. As long as your not bleeding, its just your body making room for baby Smile
