Hello. I'm 40 year old male and I would like to find out could anybody help me with some extra informations concerning my disease.
About for weeks ago I started to feel chest pain, dry cough and severe headaches.
I thought it was caused by some simple common cold but I guess I was wrong because my symptoms persisted for about a month.
I even started to suffer from unintentional weight loss and appetite loss.
Recently I have read something about Cryptococcosis symptoms and I can say that I recognized every one of them at me.
Could anybody tell me something more about this condition?

I know a bit about it because my roommate has been diagnosed with it two years ago.
Cryptococcosis is a rare fungal infection caused by inhaling the fungus, Cryptococcus neoformans.
I can say that you have weak immune system because in people with normal immune systems, the pulmonary (lung) form may have no symptoms.
Because you are not sure do you have this condition you should do some tests like sputum culture and stain, lung biopsy and Bronchoscopy.
Meningitis and meningoencephalitis are the most common complications of this condition.
The goal of pharmacotherapy is to reduce morbidity and prevent complications of cryptococcosis.
