Cystic Fibrosis and blood test

Hi. A few months ago i went into a doctor's office for something not related to Cystic Fibrosis at all and in the end he thought i might have had a type of arthritis so he told me to get a blood test. So i did. When the results came, he said the only thing wrong with me was that i had an iron deficiency. But now that it's a few months later, i am seeing that i have a few symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis and was wondering if in the results of the blood test they could have overlooked the possibility of me having Cystic Fibrosis. Could this have happened Question
