Dad has heart problems, and trying to figure out whats wrong

Hi my dad was diagnosed with heart murmurs many years ago in his teens, he's now 63 and has been having shortness of breathe chest pains and he has acid reflux and it is becoming harder for him to eat. I was wondering if this is just a result from the heart murmurs and acid reflux, or if it could be something else, he's going in for a EKG tommorrow morning but i want to have a little information before i find out tommorrow if it's anything. His breathing has been getting worse through the years, and the pains just started a few weeks ago. Any advice or thoughts are welcome I'd appreciate anything.
