I am very sorry to hear what happened to you. I was reading about the toxic shock syndrome in the newspapers a couple of weeks ago and I was shocked that everything can be the result of a simple tampon usage.
When I first read it I found out that a person can develop the shock syndrome from tampon usage but later on I read that the infection could have occurred after surgical procedures by bacteria invading the wounds.

I became interested and went through some info on the internet and realized that it was not just Staphylococcu and Streptococcus that are causing this infection but also another bacterium, Clostridium sordellii, that was associated with abortions and treatments of endometriosis.

I suppose when a person starts exhibiting all the symptoms, that it may be hard to even think about this syndrome as it occurs to be so rare.

When did you experience it? What was the cause in your case?

I can’t say much about dealing with the pain you are experiencing but I think you definitely need to avoid all the food or anything that is aggravating the pain.

If you feel like talking, I would like to hear from you again.

Are you still experiencing pain? In what part of the body? In the fingertips or? You shouldn’t be!

No matter what happened to you, I must say you are lucky to be alive! Most of toxic shock syndrome cases end with death. What kind of bacteria was found in your case and which of the organs did it invade first? You were lucky that the necrosis didn’t affect other organs as well.

Although very rare, I would say one in 100 000 cases, this is a very severe condition you have been into.

I wouldn’t be playing with this discomfort you’re feeling and look for answer around but immediately seek doctors’ help. I couldn’t agree more with Jane, you need to avoid these foods that are aggravating your condition until you’re given proper care.
