| Hello. I have a small (1/2 in.),flat,wheel shaped lump just under the skin on the left side of my vaginal area. It is bluish-black in color and is painful. It dosn't have an opening and it goes away sometimes,then comes back. This has been going on for 4 months. What could this be? |

I once had something similar near my genital area as well. It looked like a dark blue flake but it actually was under my skin. I had been wondering what could that be, it didn’t really remind me of anything, it had some specific colour and it just couldn’t be compared to anything. Then my friend told me it could be the consequence of some injury, like a bruise called hematoma. I believed it was that, I never consulted a doctor about that so I still believe it was that. I’ve had it for ages, it seemed like it would never go away. But now I don’t have it, it took me 5 months to get rid of it.
As from what I know about hematomas, these are localized collections of blood and they can occur almost anywhere on the body. They just need time to disappear. |
