My daughter who is 9 got her first periods and the bleeding and then spotting lasted about 2 weeks. When it was time for her 2nd period, she started spotting and has been doing so for the past 2 weeks ... is this normal? She is worried and afraid of the whole thing now. Can anyone help??
Age nine is kind of early to be getting her first period. Not completely unheard of though by any means. I would say that if the spotting doesn't stop soon I would go see a doctor. Also, because the period was so early I would go get her checked out.
