I'm 16 year old (turning 17 this June in a month or so), and I have barely started puberty... I've had pubes and armpit hair since I was 12, but nothing has progressed since then. (no testis, penis enlargement, voice deepening, etc)...
I visited the doctor today...
She says I don't have constitutional delay, and that it is probably hypogonadism... I'm getting my blood test this weekend, and probably next weekend, I'm getting small injection of testosterone... Hopefully, puberty will be jumpstarted by these injections after several months... However, if it isn't, she says that I might have to always regularly get testosterone patches/shots for the REST OF MY LIFE because my testes might not make any testosterone after those shots... How likely is THAT to occur? and have a waited too long to get treatment, cuz I'm going to college in a year and and 4 months... |
