I am a 21 year old male diagnosed with Cooley anemia since birth. This has affected my puberty development. I have been taking an HCG, (Novarel) for several years to help stimulate puberty, however there does not seem to be much change for I am still unable to grow full facial fair. I have asked my doctor about it and was told to just continute to take the HCG. Is there any other medications or actions I can take?
My little cousin suffers from this disorder. I realize it is very tricky and serious. How are you holding up?
I know that he had problems with bones and that they have to worry about so many vitamins intake. He is being assessed now to see if he’s gonna have hormone replacement therapy.
