Hi, my sister is 32 years old and she has bipolar disorder. Her doctor prescribed her Depakote and she felt much better since she starts using this medication. Last week I have read article in newspaper that Depakote may be dangerous for liver so I would like to know what effects on liver Depakote may cause.

Hi, my friend is also taking depakote and he is regularly visiting his doctor. As doctor prescribed him stronger doses of this medication he also told him that he wants to control his blood tests from time to time. Till now only effect which he experienced from Depakote was slightly higher transaminazes, liver's enzymes.
