Hi, my sister is suffering from anxiety for several years already and she started to act more strangely than it was before. She is absent very often, looks like she is completely uninterested for everything which is going on around her. I am afraid that she is maybe suffering from some worse mental disease like schizophrenia. If someone had similar experiences please help.

Hi, if someone suffers from anxiety and it is confirmed by psychiatrist it is not likely that she will develop schizophrenia or something like that. The most probably she is experiencing depersonalization caused by anxiety and it is very common problem. She is acting like her own experiences are happening far away from her. It is not something bad but it would be good to consult her doctor.
