| Please help. I had my first child through c-section over 3 months ago. I am 24 years old. I have been experiencing symptoms associated with interstitial cystitis affecting my bladder and urethra with intense pain 24 hours a day, though no UTI is present. Besides this, I am also still experiencing tenderness and soreness in the vagina as well as frequent small amounts of bloody mucus discharge, yet no period since almost 2 months ago. I feel as though my vaginal opening tissue has been torn and cut up somewhat due to a terribly painful 5 week postpartum examination performed by the doctor who delivered my child. I'd also like to mention that I was breastfeeding off and on for the first 2 and a 1/2 months but am no longer at this time. I sense a tremendous hormonal change in my body as well and all of this has contributed to my extreme postpartum depression. Another thing I'd like to mention is that I have not been sexually active at all for about 11 months now. I have been tested for various STDs at the beginning and end of my pregnancy, and results were all negative. So with all of this being told to you, please help me find some answers. Thank you. |
