Scientists and doctors point out that most of the so-called detox diets that are appearing on the market are just a good way for a detox industry to make money with no benefits to the consumers.

The only thing these detox diets can do to a user is help them feel less guilty about the holidays’ over-indulgence.

Our body does this job on its own. It has its own mechanisms called liver and kidneys that break down and remove toxins from the bloodstream. “The detox products” may only postpone the body’s natural detox process.

Toxicologists and dieticians recommend drinking plenty of tap water, eating fruit and vegetables and getting a few early nights to help your body eliminate the nasties and save a great deal of money as there is no scientific background for the claims detox products promise.
