Hello, I am more than worried about my son who has been suffering with bouts of vomiting, diarrhoea and fevers every two weeks for a number of months now. He is just 16 months old. I noticed last week he had oral thrush and on monday he was sick, feverish and the dr said he had a chest infection. He has been irritable now for weeks.

On Wednesday night Jack ate dinner and did not vomit until the morning at 6.30am. On Thursday morning he fainted, so i called the ambulance. The paramedic took his blood and his sugar level was 1.9, then 1.3mm and was taken to hospital where his levels didn't rise very quickly. It took a number of hours and a drip to return to normal. He was discharged the next day. I am waiting now for his results and apparently have to wait 2 months for this follow up appointment. He definately has lost some weight. I am worried he might have diabetes but he definitely was not starved for a blood test. He is often thirsty, but only wants water and will ask for food but not eat it. He is not his normal self. Could he be diabetic?
