Diabetic patient not adhering to the prescribed treatment regimen?

Hello! My older sister has type II diabetes. She does not insulin yet, but I am afraid that she will need to take it because she does not adhering to the prescribed treatment regimen. I want to know what consequences she can expect. I am very worried about her, but she just won’t accept that she is diabetic.

Hello! It is very important to her to adhere to the prescribed treatment regimen. If she does not, then she can accept increasing blood sugar. That can damage her eyes, veins and arteries, nerves, muscles, etc. Diabetes is long life illness and she must be careful. I think that it would be best if she talk with psychologist about this, because psychologist can help her to face with facts and to overcome crisis.
