Hi, my mom visited her cardiologist few days ago and he told her that she needs to make several analyses. After she completes all tests he told her that she is suffering from cardio myopathy. He prescribed her some medications and told her to visit him next month. I am very worried for my mother and I would like to know something more about this disorder.
Hi, my mom had same diagnosis. It is disease which affects cardiac muscle. People with cardiomyopathies are not in some critical condition but this is sign that heart is becoming weaker. Also hearts of these people are larger then normal healthy hearts. Also pumping function of such hearts will weaken by time. If these people don't take therapies it would cause heart failure and abnormal heart rhythm.
