HI. I’m 27 years old and I'm having constant diarrhea. I strongly believe it is due to side effects of the drugs I’m taking. I’ve been taking Epivir, D4-T, Ritonavir and Saquinavir for about 2 years now. This is really annoying. Everything I eat becomes a disaster the following day!!! I even sometimes have to take Imosec pills to get over it!! Anyway, is there a way of getting rid of the diarrhea??? Is there some med for it or I should eat only some specific kind of food??? Thanks for any advice.

First thing you should do is to have your stool examined because there could be something causing the diarrhea. I mean, you’re taking that much meds for some reason!!! If that is the case and you find real cause for it, it will not be hard to treat it – treat the cause and you will treat consequence too. Anyway, I think you should talk to your doctor about this! As for the treatment, I’m not aware that there is a med for that but I know that you should consume bananas, rice and especially apples and drink a lot of tea while avoiding dairy products and fresh vegetables
