I am a diabetic for 10 years. I suffer from diabetes type 2 and I have a lot of extra weight. Doctor recommended me to use Metoformin because it should decrease appetite and lessens the absorption of sugar from the food, but it has some side effects that I have to deal with also. Is Dicyclomine (Bentyl) effective for Metoformin side effects?

Metoformin is very famous oral anti diabetic recommended for those with extra weight. There are several ways to stimulate secretion of insulin by this drug and it also lessens the absorption of glucose from digestive tract. It does have some side effects like nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea etc and Bentyl, since it is anticholinergic, will help with the mentioned side effects.
