| I have been on the pill for about 5 years now. I have always been on time; never late, never early. I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a while now, and mistakenly missed two pills. I've missed pills in the past, but I have never experienced any problems. However, for the past few weeks I've been overly tired, my breasts have been sore, I've been urinating constantly, and I've been vomiting on more than one occasion. Also, my gums have been bleeding, which in itself is unusual because I brush several times again and appear to have very healthy teeth. A few days ago I started getting painful cramps and I began my period roughly a week earlier than anticipated. The discharge was not normal... it was dark and goopy, almost brown. I was worried because this is very unusual for my body. I know that some women still get their periods if they become pregnant, which usually goes unnoticed. I was wondering if this problem was just related to my missed pills... or if it was possible that I had an early miscarriage? |
