Did you gain weight on dexamethasone?

I have lupus erithematodes for several years. Condition worsened lately, so I have changes on the lungs. Doctor prescribed me with dexamethasone, I drink it for several months and I think I have gained some weight, few extra kilos. Is there a connection between the drug Im using and my weight? Did you gain weight on dexamethasone?

Dexamethasone is a medication that has many effects, and it can deal with many conditions. It belongs to a group of corticosteroids. Among bad side effects that can occur, weight gaining is quite possible, stronger appetite, insomnia and ulcers too. These side effects usually show after prolonged use and especially when they are taken orally.
