Hi, my friend is 39 years old and he is suffering from epilepsy since he was a kid. Because of that he is on Dilantin. He is also suffering from rheumatic disorder and he was experiencing very strong pain sometimes. His doctor prescribed him Demerol several years ago and my sister, who is pharmacologist, told me that this combination is not good. Is that true?
Hi, I want to tell you that combining anti epileptic drugs with analgesics is not good combination because it may cause neurological problems which sometimes may lead to come. You have to check with his doctor if he was aware that your friend is already taking Dilantin and see if he is able to change Demerol for something else.
