Do blood vessels just burst for no reason?

Hi. I have some dark bruises on my left arm. Can`t remember if I`d had hit it on something. I don`t bruise just like that, and wonder do blood vessels just burst for no reason at all? There must be some reason I think. Mom told me that I may have a high blood pressure? Is she right?

Hi. I heard that blood vessels just burst for no reason, that it is quite common. It happened to my left eye, it was like all red. High blood pressure could be the cause, however. High blood pressure causes strain on the vessels to carry blood all around your body, and then your blood vessels can become clogged up, due to strain. Rarely, but it can lead to the blood vessels bursting.
