| iam a 24yr old female. for nearly a year now i have had itchiness and iritation on my vergina. the symptons sound like thrush, but now things have gotten worst i have got some spots growing around my virgina, it is still itching. I dont know what the spots are. I just want to know if you might know what it is. Thank you |

Chlamydia is the infection which frequently cannot be diagnosed or treated until complications develop. It is the bacteria which initially in women attack the cervix and urine canal (urethra). Some women notice an abnormal vaginal discharge with strange odor and burning sensation when urinating. Do you have burning sensation when you urinate? In later stadium, some women have lower abdominal pain, back pain, nausea, fever and even pain during intercourse. Also some women reported bleeding between menstrual periods. Whenever the infection spreads past the cervix into the upper reproductive system, permanent and irreversible damage can occur.
Generally you can’t even know that you’re infected with chlamydia. But if you feel pain when you urinate over longer time period, you should visit your doctor.
I hope it’s not chlamidyia but also it could be any other STD or a simple urethra infection, you never know. The best way to find out is to visit your gyno for exam. |
