Hello. I am 62 years old and I have been experiencing heart and high blood pressure problems. I also have asthma for several years. I am using Salbutamol for asthma at the moment. I would like to know about the interaction between these two. Does a Salbutamol rescue inhaler work if you are on a beta blocker?

Beta blockers block beta 2 receptors, while Salbutamol is beta 2 agonist, so it is not recommendable at all for these two drugs to be taken at the same time. I think that you should consult your doctors, because the interaction might not happen at all. Just to be cautious, do not do anything before you hear your doctor's advice.
