Does a treatment of chronic bronchitis depend on patient's age?

Hello! My grandfather suffers from chronic bronchitis. Since he was always heavy cigarette smoker something like that was expected. He coughs a lot (especially in the morning) and he has often headaches. Since his symptoms become serious recently we decided to visit a specialist. Does a treatment of chronic bronchitis depend on patient's age?

Hello! Treatment of chronic bronchitis depends on individual condition of the patient. First of all your grandfather has to quit smoking since it will prevent chronic bronchitis from getting worse. Also, any other respiratory irritants should be avoided. His doctor will most probably prescribe some inhalators and maybe even antibiotics if the infection is suspected.
