| My grandfather has been diagnosed with leukemia about year and a half ago. But, it seems that for now he does not have to be subdued to any kind of therapy. Actually, only when some symptoms show up, he will start with some treatment. I would like to know if chronic lymphocytic leukemia develops gradually. |

| Yes, its development is gradual. Many patients do not use therapy in the beginning. Some patients do need therapy, when big number of lymphatic nodes is affected and when spleen is augmented. It is a good thing that there are no symptoms yet with your grandfather, with a bit of luck, he will be ok for a long time. |
