Does clomid cause abnormal menstrual cycle?

My infertility doctor recommend me to take clomid. I was advised by my doctor to take it on the third day of my cycle. The first day of my cycle started on 12/06/06. I started taking clomid on 12/06/06 as advised. On 12/15/06, I tried testing to see if I'm ovulating. I never tested positive and today (12/21/06), I'm on my menstrual cycle again. I was wondering, Does clomid cause abnormal menstrual cycle? I'm so confused.

My experience was exactly the opposite, my cycle took thirty days as opposed to a steady twenty-four. Good luck on your hunt for answers in a comletely frustrating process!

I had a similar situation. I took my 2nd dosage of Clomid mid December and my period started 8 days early (normally 27 days). My period began on December 31 and this month I just had my next period today January 13, about 2 weeks early. I have been searching the internet to see if this is usual.

I just took my second dose of Clomid and got my period on day 21, before I was even made it to the blood work to see if I ovulated! Looking for answers?
