Hi. I'm 37 year old worried female.
A few days ago I woke up and found a painful swollen lump between my right breast and armpit. I become very frightened when I spotted this and don’t know what this could be. The worst thing I could suppose was tumor and the idea that I have developed such a thing terrified me.
I know only that this appeared only this time and very suddenly and beside this, I have no symptoms what so ever.
Does anyone know what the cause could be and should I see a doctor right away?

Well, I see no reason why you shouldn’t pay a visit to your doctor, just to be sure, nothing more.
By the symptoms you have mentioned I could say that I sincerely doubt that it could be the tumor because it has developed so quickly.
Breast cancers do not develop so suddenly. The first change in a shape of small lump could be spotted nearly few months before it could grow to those proportions.
Two possibilities are on my mind right now- one of them is a cyst. This is really benign condition that could be easily treated and the second is swollen lymph node, because this area is filled with them.
Contact your doctor and let him do you a mammogram. Because a lump can be a symptom of breast cancer, all persistent breast lumps should be evaluated by a physician.

Hello to all that suffer from this

not sure if you still have lump, but just to let u know i suffed from this in both groin area and armpit and at first i have these lumps removed from doctor... they were just malenoma fatty tissue... after discussing this with both my brother and sister who i also found out they experienced the same thing... i futher investigated the cause... i went to a chinese herbalist who explained that i got these bumps from too much heat trapped in my body from spicy foods... he gave me some herbs and in 1 week they had completely vanished... less painful than surgory... thats why i share this with you because it worked for my whole family...
