Does having drinks affect my recovery from plastic surgery?

I had reconstructive surgery for my lower eyelid, and the bones on the left side of my face about 5-6 weeks ago. Will having some drinks affect my recovery process ? Someone told me they thought maybe having drinks would slow the recovery process much like THC does, is this true or is there nothing to worry about in terms of alcohol ?
