Hey everyone,
Im George and Im 24.
I have a major problem and need your expertise.
My nose has been stuffed up for 2 1/2 years.
This January I started feeling, for lack of a better word, weird.
I felt sick, high, hungover. I was constantly spaced out, in a fog. My head felt heavy. This feeling would get stronger for a few days, to the point of desperation, and than it would be mild again, but always there.
I went to my doctor where I was diagnosed with lyme disease.
6 weeks later when the antibiotics hadn't worked I was sent to see an infection specialist. He told me that I have a sinus infection, and not lyme disease. He also said that I have rhinitis in my nose. This made sense to me, as I had none of the side effects of lyme disease. After 2 weeks of antibiotics for my sinus infection I have gotten better, but I am definetely still suffering greatly.
The infection specialist told me that there is nothing else he can do for and that I need to see an ENT. I won't be able to see an ENT until June due to my new job.

My question to you is this.
Do you find my symptoms familiar? Can a sinus infection make you feel "spaced out" or in a "fog" to such degree? I havent had a good day for more than 4 months. Is this a sinus infection or is it something more serious?

Any comment would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

PS. My nose is constantly dry, I have no drainage.
I havent had an xray of my sinuses either.

I have had similar symptoms. I so far have not shaken the problem. The doctors said mine was allergies and anxiety. I'm going in to see the doctor again on Thursday. Do you also have occasional pressure/headache? How's it going for you?
