Does runny nose hurt the child?

My daughter is 14 months old. Now she has runny nose. But she doesn’t have a fever, just runny nose. So, I don’t want to go to doctor. Do you have some useful advice for me? And I’m wondering Does runny nose hurt the child? Anybody knows something about it?

Recently my two old son had same symptoms as your daughter. He has just runny nose. And my doctor told me to just let his nose run until it's through. Definitely it doesn't hurt the child. So just let it be, as long as she doesn't have a fever. You can give her saline nasal spray.
