| I have been spitting and chewing mostly all of my food for awhile now, and i noticed a slight weight drop but not too much.. I read somewhere that doing this actually makes you gain weight? If you are spitting and chewing french fries for example, do you get a lot of the calories from the grease? If anyone has tried this method please let me know your results. thanks! |

| I chew and spit and I noice that I have gained weight/. I eat healthy small meals and then will chew and spit all the junk food which I do not allow myself to eat. |

Chewing and spitting food does not cause weight gain. What causes the weight gain is the starvation from the chewing and spitting. When you starve yourself, your body goes into starvation mode and starts storing fat cells so that when you eat again, it redistributes them. You will gain everything you lost and then some back due to your body's protective nature. Your body doesn't want you to starve. If you think you can live like that forever, you can't. you'll end up crashing and binging eventually.
Every time I have starved and lost weight I'm talking I have gone on a strict STARVATION DIET and lost 110lbs and regained 60lbs had to re lose it the normal way.
Train yourself to not be in the quick fix kind of mind frame. Besides, why do you want to chew and spit? Cows chew and spit. It's gross. Think of it like that. No, I did not say you are a cow nor do I even remotely think you look like one (because I have no idea what you look like), but if you tell yourself that cows chew and spit, perhaps you might not want to do that.
You need to make a lifestyle change if you want to lose weight and keep it off. Chewing and spitting and starving will not get you there. It will only lead you to destructive weight loss patterns that will get you very sick very quick. I wish you luck in your path to recovery.
P.S. your weight staying at the same weight means your metabolism has slowed down (if you are not eating and you are not losing weight.)
