Don't you think that dilatation of bladder is a bit invasive treatment for enuresis?

My child is 4 years old and she has a bed wetting problem. I was not concerned at first, but it is not passing and I am not sure what to do. Everyone says that it is something almost normal for her age and that I should not worry. Doctor even mentioned bladder dilatation as a way to deal with it. Don’t you think that it is a bit invasive treatment for enuresis?

Well, it might be, but I am not sure that you have been explained in detail what dilatation means. Basically, you have t make her hold a bit longer than usual before going to the bathroom, in that way the bladder will increase, not much, but perhaps enough to stop enuresis. Or you might try making her urinate before the sleep, although I never had success with that method used on my kids. But one thing is sure, it will pass.
