Drugs in the first trimester! What's the danger?

Hi. I am planning to have a baby. I am treating myself with Fluconazole and wonder is it safe to use it when pregnant. What is the danger of using drugs in the first trimester?

Hi. There are no safe drugs in early pregnancy. The health of the fetus depends on what you eat, what you drink, generally, how you live. You have to protect your baby from harmful effects of drugs. Drugs can create congenital malformations. If you can, avoid all drugs during the first trimester. And don`t use Fluconazone, multiple congenital abnormalities have been reported. I had UTI when I was pregnant with my first child and I was avoiding meds. So I was treating myself with bearberry and cranberry tea.
