Dry coughing

Hi, I am 45 years old male and I am coughing for some time already. My cough is very dry and it awakes me during the night. I quit smoking several years ago so I don't think it may be caused by smoking. I thought coughing will stop but now I realize I will have to visit my doctor. Please if someone had some similar symptoms tell me your experiences.

Hi, I also had periodical coughing from time to time. My coughing is connected with my allergy to dust. Sometimes coughing may last for a more than a month if I don't take my antihistamine pills. However I suggest you to visit your doctor because reason for coughing doesn't have to be the same.
