Okay so I am about 33 weeks into my pregnancy, but I can't shake this aweful feeling! I use to smoke quite a bit of weed during the first trimester, though I had no idea I was pregnant I am worried that even though I found out and quit smoking that the weed will still show up in the babies system and I am terrified!!! Does any one know the North Carolina law or even know if they do drug test out here? I have no clue and I wouldn't know where to go to find out!!
If you honestly haven't smoked since your first trimester than it will not "show" in the baby's system....I assure you. I am pretty sure that the majority of hospitals only do drug tests on babies if there is suspicion and if its positive it then goes to the social workers and the investigation starts with CPS...Since there isn't anything in your system and wont be you have nothing to worry about.....even if there was a + majarajuana test isnt as big of a deal as say a _ heroin test....yes, you would have to talk to a social worker but as long as your not a huge "pothead", there isnt a signifigant risk to babys well-being and agree to monitoring the consequences are usually minimal...good luck and take care
