EEG results

Hi. I had a seizure most recently. I had to run through some tests. However, my EEG results were normal. I had another seizure in the meantime. I think I suffer from epilepsy. Should I ask for a second opinion?

Hi. In many people with epilepsy EEG may appear perfectly normal between seizures. I suffer from epilepsy. However, my results were abnormal. Also, it is important to say that all seizures are not epileptic. There are so called non-epileptic seizures. To diagnose NES you have to run through some tests. Doctors will take your personal history, including neurological history and psychological development. Non-epileptic and epileptic seizures are very similar. People diagnosed with NES are not epileptic. They don`t treat their condition with anti-epileptic meds.
