Posted: 10/16/05 - 02:00 Post subject: Earlobe Bump (very Worried!!) |
|
|
I am so much worried about symptom I have noticed few days ago. I saw I have hard bump in my right earlobe. When I press this lump between my fingers, it feels like a soft rock. I have never heard someone had lump in earlobe. Now I am worried it could be cancer or something else seriously dangerous so I am very worried.

I cannot gave you exact prognosis for you earlobe lump just like this. I need to exam you and check it more carefully. That is why my advice is for you to visit the doctor. Until now, I shall say some about earlobe lumps, which you might be interested. Prognosis for this kind of lump depends if that is something recently occurred or it have been there before. Size and tenderness also might be valuable information, as well as situation of lymph nodes in this area. There are great chances that are just an overgrown cartilage or something like that. Off course, this is noting so seriously you should be worried too much. There are no lymph nodes in your earlobe so it could be cancer metastasis as you are afraid. Anyway, I would recommend you to visit your doctor as soon as you could; he will tell you exactly what it is.

This lump could be a Sebacous Cyst.
These cysts are very common and are small sacs that occur underneath the skin, they happen when a hair follicle gets blocked.
They are usually removed by a minor operation. |

I have had one of these in my left ear for several months now and it causes no pain. I'm 15 and from reading the replies, it may have something to do with our ages, seeing as they are fairly similar. |

I'm 16 and I have one.
Its been there since I'v been 15 probrably, and just swollen up a bit the last few days. I'm probrably going to go see a doctor just in case. But I'm pretty sure its nothing. |
