I'm 100 % certain that effexor has some relationship with the thyroids functioning. Every time I went off of effexor my thyroid would all but shut down, I had ths levels tested and I was hypothyroidal (i.e. I was sluggish). As far as I know I had never had thyroid problems before effexor and am convinced that the effexor has some kind of complex interaction with ths levels. Now its been two years since I've been on effexor and I feel like its finally evening out, but I will NEVER go on that stuff again. Plus I was on a super low dose!
