Epidural Injections and breastfeeding

I was told I need Epidural Injections however I am still nursing. Is this ok to do? I have called the OBGYN and the Peditrician and the only answer I recieved was they THINK it's ok and if the baby gets droggy discontinue he shots. Ok now don't these injections last a while? So how would I continue to nurse?

Any help is appriciated.
