My dad has some serious problems. He is 60 years old. His hands have started to shake against his will. At first I thought it was due to alcohol because he was chronic alcoholic for a long time but he has stop to drink ten years ago. He is diagnosed with essential tremors. What cause this?

The essential tremor is mostly caused by inherited genetic mutations. My father also has it and his father had it. It is grate possibility that I will have it. So I know a little about it. You should ask does anyone in your family have this disorder. Other causes that are not caused by genetic mutation are not clear. There is problem in a brain circuits that control your movement.
