Hi, I am 43 years old and I am suffering from rheumatoid disorder. Besides my problems with pain in articulations and joints I am also suffering from psoriasis. My doctor told me that this form of psoriasis is connected with rheumatoid symptoms and he prescribed me Etanercept. I would like to know something more about it.Thank you very much.

Hi, Etanercept is new generation medication which is generally used in treating some rheumatoid diseases. Also it covers rheumatoid disorders which in its clinical appearance have psoriasis. Idea about this drug was to replace Methotrexate which is very dangerous and may cause serious side effects. I wish you the best.
